Business Development Manager

David L Drew graduated in 1981 from The University of Massachusetts Lowell with a Bachelor of Science degree and has over 35 years experience in upstream and midstream exploration in the oil and gas industry.

He started his career at Pennzoil Oil Company in 1981 as an offshore and onshore Chief Oil Scout. Then, 10 years later he joined Hess Corporation in early 1991 as Lead Oil scout and Land Advisor. Mr. Drew managed teams of geoscientists; worked directly with C- level management to coordinate strategic acquisitions of vast mineral acreage positions in both on and off shore, unconventional and conventional plays; as well as monitored new wildcat drilling and lease play activity in offshore Gulf of Mexico, Gulf Coast areas, Rockies, Mid Con, Bakken Shale, Marcellus/Utica and Eagleford /Eaglebine Shale plays.

David has also served the past 3 years as a Managing Director of Acquisitions and Divestitures for a full service investment and merchant bank focused on the oil and gas sector. During this engagement, his responsibilities included managing and reviewing Exploration and Production projects in the lower 48 states and identifying and engaging their potential sellers and buyers of targeted producing oil and gas assets. During that time he was responsible for the marketing and closing of two asset sales in the Eagle Ford and Woodbine plays totaling $85 million.

Mr. Drew is a contributing member of numerous oil and gas industry organizations including being a former President of the Houston Oil Scout Association for 15 years, Offshore Oil Scout Board of Directors for 12 years, and former President of the International Oil Scout Association. He is extremely well-connected and respected within the industry by association of both tool pushers/ truck drivers and NYSE –level CEO’s alike.
