PABLO EISNER
Operations Director
• Pablo N. Eisner has had an impactful career in his 30 years since he graduated with a Masters degree in Geology and Geophysics from Rice University. Pablo started as a operations geologist and geoscientist interpreter, then progressed to be the team leader, manager, mentor and up to being the co-founder of an Oil and Gas Operator in Mexico.
• Pablo founded Petroleos Ebano in 2015 with two Mexican partners, a start-up exploration and production company in Mexico. During this time, he put together a small technical team consisting of a geologist-geophysicist, petrophysicist, reservoir and facilities engineer, finance and an economist as well as a lawyer and Community Relations representative. Pablo’s team evaluated and ranked the different bid round blocks and direct negotiation opportunities that were newly available stemming from the Mexico Oil and Gas Reform of late 2013. The company was funded by different investors for three and a half years, they negotiated directly with the appropriate government officials for the migration into an E&P License of the chosen Tier 1 Opportunities.
• Pablo also led multiple projects including the New Country Entry of CNOOC-Nexen in Mexico, a Paleogene (Wilcox) and Subsalt Miocene Prospect Portfolio in the Deepwater GOM, participated in bid round evaluations in Brazil Offshore, Uruguay, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Trinidad, Algeria and Tunisia. Pablo has been very involved in Guyana and Suriname, where he was directly responsible for drilling one of the first Cretaceous wells in Guyana, for acquiring the Suriname Block for Apache and for the recommendation for Nexen-CNOOC to join ExxonMobil in their Guyana block prior to the large discoveries made in the last few years.
